Description

Eynsford Bridge is a small 17th-century bridge featuring two round-headed stone arches. It has a pointed cutwater between the arches on the upstream side and a rectangular recess on the downstream side. The bridge is topped with a later flint and brick parapet. On the southern side, there is an inserted medieval figure, likely an angel, with its hands raised, positioned between the sashes. A ford is located to the southwest of the bridge. For further reference, see "The Ancient Bridges of the South of England" by E. Jervoise, page 31.
