Description
The dairy at Hever Lodge is an ornamental structure built around 1904 by Frank Loughborough Pearson, forming part of the model farm complex associated with Hever Castle. This octagonal building is constructed of brick, featuring stone window dressings and a tiled roof adorned with eight small copper gablets and a copper finial topped with a weathervane. It is connected to a circular colonnade on each side and to Daisy Cottage at the rear. The front of the dairy is supported by four columns. Inside, the walls are decorated with moulded green and white tiles, and there is an elaborate tiled cornice featuring lotus flowers interspersed with swags and cherubs. The interior also includes marble shelves on three sides, two entrances, and a tessellated floor.
