Description
Aime and Sakers Cottages, located on Church Road in Sundridge, is a Grade II listed building originally constructed as a single timber-framed structure in the 17th century. It stands two storeys high with one window on each floor. The 18th-century facade features a brick first floor, a rubble ground floor with brick dressings, and a brick-coped rubble plinth, all of which are painted. The building has a high-pitched tiled roof that is half hipped on the right side.
The windows include various 18th and 19th-century sash styles, with those on the ground floor set under segmental arches. The doors are plain boarded and topped with bracketed flat hoods. Nos 1 and 2 have dormer windows. Inside, there are exposed beams, and No 1 features some exposed framing on the back wall along with a large inglenook fireplace that is partly blocked.
