Description

Bee Skepps in the garden of Underberg is a structure dating from around 1770. It consists of seven brick recesses located in the south-east garden wall, which were used as bee skepps or boles. Among these, two are larger, standing 5 feet high and featuring two shelves each, while the remaining skepps are smaller in size. The structure is illustrated in Archaeologia Cantiana, Volume 69.
