Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to Thomas William Carter, who died in 1838. It is located about 16 metres south-west of the nave of the Church of St. Nicholas. The tomb dates from the early 19th century and is made of stone, resting on a rectangular stone base. It features a quirked bead along the plinth, a corniced lid, and broad fluted and reeded side panels. The inscription is framed by a reeded border.
