Description

This is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with an addition from the early 19th century. The original 16th-century range is likely timber-framed. The ground floor on the right-hand side is flint, with tile-hanging on the first floor, while the left-hand side is red brick, all beneath a plain tile roof. An early 19th-century addition has a rendered front elevation with tile-hung gables and a slate roof. The 16th-century range sits at a right angle to the road, with the 19th-century wing added to the front, running parallel to the road and forming an L-shaped plan.

The 16th-century range is two storeys high, built on a plinth. It has a large brick stack in the front slope of the roof, slightly offset to the right. The windows are irregular, with one 3-light casement window with top lights to the left, a sash window to the right, and a half-glazed door at the right end. The 19th-century range is three storeys high and has a hipped roof at both ends. A large brick stack is centrally located. The front features a narrow, three-storey, projecting bay surmounted by a triangular pediment. The front elevation has a regular arrangement of five glazing bar sash windows. The doorway has pilasters, a frieze, a pediment, and a fanlight.
