Description

The monument to Thomas and Martin Jefferey is a chest tomb located about 30 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. It dates from the mid-17th century and was restored in the 19th century. The tomb is made of stone and stands on a doubly stepped stone base. It features a moulded plinth and side panels, with a plain later lid. The west end panel is carved with a crest, while the north side is inscribed in memory of Thomas Jefferey, who died in 1667.
