Description

This is a house, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with a 18th-century facade. It is located on the east side of High Street, Lenham. The house has a timber-frame core. The ground floor is rendered, while the first floor is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with attics, and sits on a short plinth. It features a plat band and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. There is a brick ridge stack at the right end and a rear stack to the left. Two hipped dormers are present. The window arrangement is irregular, with two glazing-bar sash windows and a blocked central window. The central door consists of four fielded panels and a glazed semi-circular top light, topped with a flat hood. The interior has not been inspected.
