Description

The monument to Edward Emiot is a chest tomb located about 5½ metres east of the northeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter in Boughton Monchelsea. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of stone, resting on a stone base. The tomb features a moulded plinth and a corniced lid, with moulded side panels. The south side is inscribed with the name Edward Emiot, who died in 1724.
