Description
Livesey Cottages, consisting of Nos 1-4, is a row of houses built in the 18th century, with some later alterations. The cottages are constructed from red and grey brick in a chequered Flemish bond pattern, except for the upper section of the first floor. They are positioned at right angles to the road and feature two storeys, a garret, and a cellar, all resting on a stone plinth. The design includes a plat band and a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The roof is half-hipped with a gablet on the right side, and there are brick ridge stacks towards each end of the building. The windows display irregular fenestration with five casements: four three-light windows with segmental heads and one single-light window located towards the centre. The ground-floor windows also have segmental heads. There are four half-glazed doors with flat corniced floating hoods, positioned one at each end and two in the centre. At the rear, there is a narrow two-storey addition featuring four gables. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are included for their group value.
