Description
Little Wanshurst is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with a facade added in the 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The left gable end features exposed framing with rendered infilling. The roof is slate and has two storeys. The left gable end, which is visible from the lean-to, displays broadly-spaced studding with arch braces and has a blocked four-light diamond mullion window on each floor. The roof is half-hipped and has a shallow pitch, with a brick ridge stack located towards the left end. The building has irregular fenestration, featuring three three-light casements—one to the left and two to the right of the stack. There is a door with two top lights and a shallow flat consoled hood situated under the stack, along with a lean-to on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
