Description
Sharps is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The ground floor is constructed of red and grey brick, while the first floor is tile-hung. The first floor at the rear features exposed broadly-spaced studding with plaster infilling. The building has a plain tile roof and is oriented at right angles to the road. It consists of approximately four timber-framed bays and has two storeys plus an attic on a brick plinth. The roof is steeply pitched, hipped to the left (north) and half-hipped to the right. There is a brick ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The fenestration is irregular, featuring three casements: two three-light and one central two-light. A half-glazed door is located in a rear brick lean-to to the left of the stack. There are skylights that are considered incompatible with the building's character. The interior has not been inspected. The property was formerly known as Sharpe's Cottages.
