Description
This is an outbuilding dating from the early 19th century, located about 30 metres north-west of the Coach House on Yalding High Street. It is constructed of red and grey brick in a Flemish bond pattern and features a plain tile roof. The building is oriented at right angles to the street and has two storeys plus a garret. It has a stone plinth and a dentilled brick eaves cornice, with a half-hipped roof.
The front gable end includes a three-light window on the first floor, with a boarded section beneath it. Towards the rear of the long left side, there is a boarded loading door on the first floor, while this elevation is otherwise unpierced. The long right side is also unpierced on the first floor, but it has five ground-floor doorways, each with rubbed brick voussoirs and boarded doors. These include one round-headed doorway towards the rear, one rectangular doorway flanked by smaller round-headed doorways, and one higher doorway with a segmental head and double doors. There is also a window towards the front, featuring splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
