Description
Mote Cottage is a house, originally two cottages, dating from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber-framed and has a ground floor clad in weatherboards, while the first floor is tile-hung with diagonal bands of darker tiles. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is steeply pitched, with a hipped shape. A rear stack is located to the left of centre. The windows are irregularly placed and consist of two three-light casements. A lean-to addition extends from the rear on the left side. A boarded door is located in the right side of a small, weatherboarded lean-to on the right side of the front elevation. The interior has not been inspected. The property was previously known as Moat Cottages.
