Description

Readers is a T-shaped timber-framed house located on Lower Higham Road. It features roughcast infilling and curved braces on the first floor. The house likely dates from the 15th or 16th century and retains its original roof with smoke louvres. A central two-storey extension protrudes from the main structure, featuring a gable end that is now tiled. This extension includes a casement window and a Tudor arched stone doorcase with blank spandrels. There is also an outside chimneystack, while the right side has a modern extension.
