Description
The Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul dates back to the 13th century but was largely rebuilt or re-cased in 1866 by R P Pope, with the exception of the west tower. The church is constructed from flint and stone, with tufa used for the quoins of the tower and Cotswold stone for the 19th-century work. It includes a chancel, nave, south aisle, tower, porches, and a vestry. Inside, there is a two-bay arcade from the 13th century, while the south aisle and chancel arch have been rebuilt. The furnishings are all from the 19th century, featuring wall paintings throughout by Heaton.
