Description

The memorial to Sir John Moore was erected in 1909 and is made of reconstituted stone. It features a bronze bust and a plaque. Sir John Moore, known as the hero of Corunna, lived near this site while he was in command of the Shorncliffe camp from 1803 to 1804.
