Description

These are a row of six properties, number 10 to 15, Marine Parade, Folkestone, dating to around 1870. The buildings are colourwashed and have four storeys plus attics and a basement. They have slate roofs with three curved dormers on each side, a total of 18 dormers, and a parapet. A dropped, moulded, dentilled cornice runs above the second floor. The second and third floors have three cambered sash windows with vertical glazing only, and keystones above the second-floor windows. The ground and first floors feature three-light canted bays. The ground floor is rusticated. The first floor has cast iron balconies and corrugated iron tent-shaped canopies. The building has simple doorcases. Numbers 4 to 15 form a group.
