Description
Lympne Hall is a house dating from the 16th century, with an 18th-century facade and 20th-century alterations. It features a timber frame, with the front elevation made of red brick and uncoursed galleted stone on part of the ground floor of the right end bay. There is an exposed post on the left end of the first floor and a plain tile roof. The right end bay may have been added or rebuilt. The building has two storeys and a garret set on a stone plinth, with a red brick plat band lower across the right end bay. The roof is hipped to the left with a gablet and half-hipped to the right, topped by a central brick ridge stack. The windows are irregularly arranged, featuring four 20th-century three-light leaded wooden casements. There is a half-glazed door in a gabled timber and brick porch beneath the stack, along with a lean-to on the left end and a rear lean-to on the right. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to contain a fireplace dated 1550.
