Description

226 and 228 Mongeham Road is a timber-framed house, possibly from the 17th century. It has two storeys and features brick infilling. The right side of the building has herringbone brick infilling on the first floor, while the brickwork displays a chequer pattern with bricks laid alternately in horizontal and vertical positions. The house has a thatched roof with an eyebrow dormer. On the left side, there is a Flemish curved gable with a blocked round window and a 19th-century external chimney stack. The windows are of irregular modern design.
