Description

The monument to William Willats, who died in 1867, is located about 5 metres west of the Church of St Mary. It is made of stone and features an iron railing. The monument has a single stepped base that supports a heavy and low iron rail, which is topped with distorted acorn finials. The design resembles a Greek sarcophagus, featuring a tomb chest with a triglyph and metope frieze, along with pillow-like scrolls on the top slab.
