Description

This barn, located about 40 metres north-west of Eythorne Court in Eythorne, dates from the 16th century and the mid-18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with side elevations made of painted brick and a slated roof. The roof is half-hipped on the right side and features three raking mid-streys. Inside, the barn shows two distinct building periods: the southern section has four bays with aisles and a terminal outshot, supported by passing shores to the arcade posts and a clasped purlin roof. The northern section consists of seven bays with aisles and also has a clasped purlin roof, with a full hip on the left side.
