Description
Downs Court Farmhouse is a modern timber-framed house built around 1925, which incorporates elements from a 15th-century building. It features two old Dutch brick chimneys designed in the style of the late 16th century and is topped with plain roofing tiles. The end of the house closest to the road has a dragon tie post, and the side elevation facing Sandwich Bay includes all original brackets. The first floor is plastered between the timber frames, while the ground floor is partly plastered and partly made of old brick. The windows are fitted with lead lights.
