Description

Salutation Cottage and Gateway is a 18th-century cottage and gatehouse located on Knightrider Street. The building is two storeys high and features three windows, constructed from yellow brick. It has gables at both the north-west and south-east ends, with the original glazing bars still intact. Attached to the north of the cottage is a modern two-storey gateway, which is presumably designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Salutation Cottage, the gateway, and the outbuildings together form a cohesive group.
