Description
These are outhouses located in the garden to the north-west of The Salutation. They consist of three cottages from the 17th century or earlier that have been restored and are now used as outhouses and part of living accommodation. A trace of a beam below the first floor can be seen in the north-west wall, but the exterior has been refronted with stone rubble, featuring red brick dressings and quoins. The buildings have horizontal sliding sash windows with intact glazing bars. They are two storeys high with three windows. A similar range of buildings has been constructed in modern red brick to the south-east, which includes three windows on the first floor but none on the ground floor. The Salutation, Salutation Cottage, the gateway, and these outbuildings form a cohesive group.
