Description

This is a section of walling located next to the Sandown Bridge, known as The Ramparts in the Bulwarks, which is part of the historical site adjacent to the now demolished Sandown Gate. The walling dates back to the 14th century and measures approximately 24 feet in length. It features remains of brick vaulting ribs, likely from a chamber that is now partly sealed and overgrown.
