Description
Claypipes Cobblers is a pair of two-storey cottages from the early 17th century, which were refaced in the 18th century and feature tiled roofs. The first floor of No 28 has four windows with intact glazing bars, while No 30 has one box sash window and one casement sash window, both complete with glazing bars. There is a modern dormer above with glazing bars. The ground floor is made of brick and stone. No 28 has a modern window set within an early Victorian shop front, and No 30 features a modern casement sash window with glazing bars and modern shutters. There are two modern doors; one is an oak stable door with a half brick segmental arch above, and No 30 has a full brick arch over its window. Nos 28 to 36 (even) along with Nos 2 to 18 (even) Bowling Street and Nos 3 to 11 (odd) Guildcount Lane form a group.
