Description

32 and 34 Delph Street form a pair of cottages likely dating from the mid-18th century, although they probably incorporate elements of an earlier building. The cottages are two storeys high, with an eaves gutter and a tiled roof. They have three windows on the first floor and one blind panel. The windows are characterised by flat, rubbed brick arches above them and segmental arches above the doors. On the ground floor, there are two windows consistent with the first floor. The front doors are both six-panel designs: one is moulded with the upper two panels glazed, although the glazing is not original; the other is a six-panel bead flush design with upper glazed panels. These cottages are part of a group which includes numbers 28 to 36 (even), numbers 2 to 18 (even), number 22 Bowling Street, and numbers 3 to 11 (odd) Guildcount Lane.
