Description

This is a 17th-century barn located about 30 metres east of Chillenden Court Farm House. It is constructed of red brick, using English bond on the rear and return elevations, while the main walls feature an irregular Flemish bond. The barn has a corrugated asbestos roof and a half-hipped design with a hipped storey on the centre left. The brick walls sit on plinths and include ventilation slits, along with large wooden framed windows inserted to the centre and right. Inside, the barn consists of six bays with terminal outshots and passing shores to the arcade posts. The roof has been renewed with clasped purlins, and the inner reveals of the ventilation slits are topped with triangular brick heads.
