Description
The Church of Saint Mary Magdalene is a Grade II* listed building, originally constructed between the 13th and 15th centuries and restored in 1889 by John Drake. During the restoration, the nave was lengthened, and a wooden tower replaced the previous north-west tower. The church is built of flint with stone dressings and features a tiled roof, although some stone slab courses remain. It includes a chancel, a nave with a north aisle and porch, and a tower at the west end of the aisle. Notable architectural details include a small Norman window in the west wall, a barrel-vaulted roof, a piscina in the south wall, and an archway in the east wall. The north aisle dates back to the 13th century, while the chancel and nave are from the late 13th to 15th centuries.
