Description

Rose Cottage is a pair of 18th-century cottages, though potentially older, that were altered in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and six windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, with the south end being of buff brick, above roughcast and colour-washed render. A cornice runs between the ground and first floors. The roof has been largely re-tiled with modern tiles. There is an eaves cornice and a gable end with kneelers. The ground-floor windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The first-floor windows are horizontally-sliding sashes. Doorcases feature flat hoods supported by brackets, and there are six-panelled doors. The left-hand cottage has rustic supports to its doorcase.
