Description

Ivy House is an 18th-century house situated on the south-west side of Highcross Road in Southfleet. The house is constructed of red brick with grey headers, and includes some areas of flintwork on the right-hand elevation. It has a tiled roof with gable ends featuring kneelers, and a modillion eaves cornice. A stringcourse runs along the front. The front elevation has three windows. The upper floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor features casement windows. A plinth is present at the base of the walls. The main entrance is framed by a doorcase with a moulded architrave, a curved pediment, and an enriched frieze. The reveals are panelled, and the door itself is six-panelled, with the top two panels cut away and glazed.
