Description
The Library of King's School is a 19th-century building located within the Cathedral Precincts. It has two storeys and is constructed of flint and reused ashlar, featuring two parallel ranges. The façade includes two double round-headed arches supported by pilasters in the Norman style. The library is part of a group that includes Nos 20 to 29A, the Pilgrim's or Pentise entry attached to No 29, a wall in the garden of No 29, wall and gatepiers between Nos 28 and 29, a gateway from Green Court, and an adjoining building to the left. The King's School Library and the Norman staircase contribute to this cohesive architectural group.
