Description

The buildings at 54 to 60 Wincheap are likely from the 18th century. They are two-story buildings with a stuccoed exterior. The roof is tiled and features four dormers, three of which are hipped. Large brick chimney stacks are present. The buildings have quoins and a string course. They have four sash windows, some of which retain glazing bars. Number 54 has an early 19th-century shop front with glazing bars. Number 56 has a later shop front. Numbers 58 and 60 both have early 19th-century shop fronts, distinguished by panelled risers. The group value of the buildings is enhanced by their association with numbers 42 to 64 Wincheap.
