Description

Hill Cottage is an early 19th-century building located on Herne Street in Herne. It is two storeys high, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and the first floor now covered in roughcast. The roof is tiled and features a half-hipped design on one side. The cottage has two windows: one is a sash window with intact glazing bars, while the other is an altered casement window. There is a doorcase with a flat hood supported by brackets, and access to the cottage is via three steps leading to the street. Hill Cottage is part of a group of buildings that includes Church View, Leo Cottage, The Risings, and No 4 Hill Cottages, along with Horninglow Cottage, Street House, Forge Cottage, Street Cottage, and Chapel Cottage.
