Description

No. 36 Burgate is an early 19th-century facade attached to a 15th-century timber-framed house. The building has four storeys and is cement-rendered with stone coping. It features two sash windows with wooden cills, and the glazing bars are intact except on the first floor. There is a later 19th-century shopfront. This property, along with Nos. 23 to 37 (consecutive) and the Christchurch Gateway, forms a group.
