Description

China Court is a late Mediaeval hall-house of four bays, situated on Petham Church Lane. The original timber frame is visible in the form of exposed curved braces and plaster infilling on the first floor, while the ground floor is underbuilt in brick, which has been painted. The steeply pitched hipped tiled roof features gablets, originally likely smoke louvres, and has three casement windows. An external brick chimneystack is located at the south end. The building has a simple doorcase.
