Description

70 Broad Street is a 16th-century timber-framed building that has been significantly restored. It has two storeys, with the first floor plastered and the ground floor made of red brick. The building features a tiled roof with three hipped dormers that contain casement windows. The ground floor has altered casements, and there are two simple doorcases; the one on the right has a moulded architrave, while the one on the left is topped with a weatherhood supported by brackets. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 66 to 79 on Broad Street.
