Description
Nos. 3 to 9, Summer Hill form a small terrace, with Nos. 3 to 5 dating from the early 19th century and Nos. 6 to 9 being additions of around 1830. The earlier Nos. 3 to 5 are two storeys high, built of red brick, and have a parapet. They contain six windows in total, with one window bay of Nos. 4 and 5 projecting. The windows retain their original glazing bars. Each doorway has a round-headed doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight above and a door of six fielded panels. Nos. 6 to 9 are also of red brick, with a cornice and blocking course, and contain eight windows. The two central window bays of each pair project, with a small pediment above. Nos. 8 and 9 have larger, later bays on the ground floor. The windows feature grade stone keystones. The doorways are of a simpler design.
