Pennyless Bench is a lodge built around 1840. It is a single-storey structure with a stucco exterior and a slate roof featuring two gables. The building has two windows with ogee-shaped heads and decorative glazing. There is a weather porch that includes a central doorcase topped with an elliptical fanlight.
