Description
No. 17, The Cathedral Precincts, is a large L-shaped house dating from the 18th century. It has two storeys and attics, constructed of red brick, with a tiled roof featuring three dormers that have curved pediments. A brick parapet runs along the top, and there is a stone stringcourse above each floor. The house has seven sash windows with intact glazing bars. The entrance features a doorcase with a flat hood supported by scrolled console brackets, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The end of the south wing has been altered in the 19th century, with a bay window added on both floors.
