Description

Stone House is a building dating from the 18th century or earlier. It has two storeys and is finished in stucco, featuring two parallel ranges on the right-hand side. The roof is old and tiled, with a hipped gable above the southernmost window bay. On the first floor, there are three sashes with intact glazing bars, and a stringcourse runs along the building. The shopfront includes two doorcases that are flanked by pilasters. Stone House, along with Herne Post Office and Ridley Cottages, forms a group of buildings.
