Description

Nos 52 and 54 High Street is a 15th-century timber-framed building. The south front, which faces the Market Place, has some exposed timbering and curved braces with plaster infilling, but it has mostly been refaced with painted brick. The building is two storeys tall, with the first floor of the end window bays oversailing. The eaves between the oversail are supported by brackets, and it has a hipped tiled roof. There are three sash windows with intact glazing bars. The west front, which faces High Street, has been refaced with stucco in the 18th century and features a 19th-century shop window along with one other window.
