Description

47 High Street is a 15th to 16th century Wealden house featuring a cross-wing and a recessed center. It stands two stories high with attics. The ground floor has been refaced in brick, which is now painted, while the first floor of the east front is adorned with fishscale tiles, and the north front is plastered, both sections oversailing. The eaves of the west half of the north front overhang on brackets. The roof is tiled and has a gable end facing east. The house includes casement windows, with one window facing east and two windows along with two hipped dormers facing north. The east front also features a modern shop front.
