Description

Buxford Mill House and Buxford Mill are a 18th-century mill-house and mill situated on Buxford Lane, Great Chart. The two-story mill-house faces the road and is constructed of red brick, with a hipped tiled roof. The roof features a brick cogging and modillion eaves cornice. It contains five casement windows and a doorcase with a flat hood supported by brackets, leading to a door of six fielded panels. Behind the house, at a right angle, stands the mill building, also from the 18th century. The mill is two stories high, with a ground floor of red brick and an upper level of weatherboarding. It has a hipped tiled roof and three casement windows.
