Description
Ashenden is a Grade II* listed building located on Smallhythe Road. The main part of the house is an early 13th-century L-shaped structure, while one wing dates from the 17th century. It has two storeys and an attic, constructed of red brick with grey headers. The roof is hipped and tiled, featuring a modillion cornice.
The north elevation has six windows and one dormer, while the east elevation has five windows and three dormers. The windows have segmental heads and retain their glazing bars. The east front also features a doorcase with Ionic columns, a pediment, a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panel moulded door.
