Description

The building is an early 19th-century post office and shop, known as Bethersden Post Office and Village View. It is two storeys high and constructed of red brick with grey brick headers on the ground floor, and tile-hung on the first floor. The roof is hipped and covered in slate. There are four sash windows with intact glazing bars, including one within a recessed section on the right-hand side, which represents Village View. A simple doorcase is present, as is a rectangular fanlight above the door.
