Description

The chest tomb to the Hodges family, located about 2 metres south of the Church of St. Matthew, dates from 1731 and later. It features a moulded and incised top slab supported by baluster piers, with raised and fielded side panels. The top slab is adorned with a Coat of Arms and an inscription commemorating Frances Newman Hodges, who died in 1731.
