Description
Lake House is a hall house dating from the late 13th century, featuring a 17th-century roof and 19th-century windows. It is constructed of flint and rubble with stone dressings and has a plain tile roof, along with brick window surrounds. The building has an upper floor hall plan with a staircase and an extension to the north. It stands two storeys high with a hipped roof, a central stack, and an end stack on the right. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of brick "Dering" windows and 20th-century doors. The west and south fronts each have two large brick buttresses. Inside, the first floor hall contains two blocked arched windows at either end and a central hearth, which is now indicated by a brick-inserted stack.
