Description
The Masonic Temple and North Street Hall is an early 19th-century building located at 32 North Street. It is two storeys high and constructed of brown brick, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building features a brick parapet with stone coping and a stone stringcourse. The first floor retains its glazing bars, while the ground floor windows are boarded up. The entrance porch is notable for having one Ionic column and Ionic pilasters behind it, along with an open pediment, a reeded band, panelled reveals, a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The building has a plinth, and the left side elevation includes a later addition of a four-light canted bay window on the first floor. Nos 14 to 32 (even) form a group.
